All of our Founders had strong connections with Liverpool University, the only one in the area at that time and some of the more senior founders included the Chancellor of the University and the Vice-Chancellor as well as 9 other senior Professors and Lecturers across many of the major disciplines. The Lodge was at the beginning a temperance Lodge – but this has changed!
Our first Lodge meeting took place on 14th November 1921 and we have so far clocked up over 630 meetings which continued through the War. We are rapidly approaching our Centenary and planning a celebration that we hope to mark with a grand evening meeting.
